Bird related Courses in Gwent for 2008 / 9

 

 

Birds of Gardens, Woods and Fields at Monmouth.

5 Tuesday afternoon’s on consecutive weeks between 1pm & 3pm, starting 16th September 2008 at Bridges Community Centre.  There will also be 4 field trips of 2 - 3 hrs each around Monmouth.

 

Identifying Bats and Moths at Abergavenny

5 Tuesday evening’s between 7pm & 11pm on consecutive weeks, starting 16th September 2008 at The Hill College.  Each indoor session will be immediately followed by field meeting around the grounds and nearby countryside to track & identify bats as well as identify moths attracted to special lights and lures.

 

Bird Migration – an Introduction at Uskmouth near Newport.

The second Sunday in each month between January to May 2009.  From 9.30am to 12.00pm and 12.30pm - 2pm.  Each session starts with a field trip to observe migration in action and then continues with the indoor session.

5 Monday morning’s between 10am & 12pm, every TWO weeks, starting 12th January 2009.  There will be three Sunday afternoon/evening field trips of 3 - 4hrs each at various locations in the Newport area.
