New Rules

Llandegfedd, Ynysyfro and Pantyreos Reservoirs

• Access to Llandegfedd, Ynysyfro and Pantyreos will be by permit only. Permits will cost £6 per annum and are available from the Rangers' office at Llandegfedd. Each permit holder will receive a car sticker which must be displayed when visiting any of the sites. The renewal date for permits will be 1st March each year.

• At Llandegfedd, from 1st March to 31st October, the gates will open at 0800 hrs, and close at sunset. Any birder visiting the site during this period will require a permit, but not a key.

• For the period 1st November to end of February, any birder visiting Llandegfedd will require a key. Keys will also be required to visit Ynysyfro and Pantyreos throughout the year.  Opening hours at Llandegfedd during the winter period will be 0900 hrs. to 1600hrs.

• Locks for all the sites will be provided by Welsh Water.

• Keys can be obtained from the Rangers' office at Llandegfedd until 1^st November or after which from the ECAR office at Sluvad (Llandegfedd) Treatment Works. A fee of £5 will be payable for each key. The keyholders' names will be kept on a list to be held by site staff. Keys will not be transferable. The key should be given to you at the time of purchase

• The same key will fit the locks on all the sites.

• In order to prevent locks being left open, the type of lock used will be such that the key can only be withdrawn when the lock is closed.

• Access during the period 1600hrs to 0900hrs will not be permitted at Llandegfedd. During these hours a high security lock will also be fitted.
