Goldcliff Lagoons

Main Sighting: Harrier
Please delete my previous post re. Hen Harrier. Looking at the photos it seems that the 'ring' is too wide for a Hen Harrier so I'll have to seek further guidance. thank you.

Goldcliff Lagoons

Main Sighting: Hen Harrier
Thought it was a Marsh Harrier at first, but the flight was not Marsh Harrier-like and furthermore it perched on a post for a while which is unheard of for the Marsh. Anyway looking at my video footage I could quite clearly see the white ring-tail of a female Hen Harrier which I couldn't see on the much smaller electronic view-finder or my binoculars. I'll post a couple of photos on the Gwent Birders Facebook page for confirmation!
