Peterstone Sluice Farm

Main Sighting: Kittiwake
At the evening tide with a strong westerly wind, a Kittiwake (probably 1st summer), sitting out the wind on the sea with Black Headed Gulls, a Kestrel, a Peregrine, small trickle of Swallows west. The family of 11 juv Shelducks have survived and are well grown. A Heron which flew ahead of me up the main reen, almost collided with a racing cyclist, as it went to fly over the parapet of the road bridge but veered off at the last second.

Peterstone Gout

Main Sighting: Kingfisher
On the afternoon tide: a Kingfisher flew past, 1 Dunlin, 4 Common Sandpiper, 1 Whimbrel, 4 Curlew, 46 Redshank, 42 Oystercatchers, 66 Shelduck and the two broods of 7 and 3 large juveniles, 117 Blackheaded Gulls (3 juvs), Heron, Legrt, Cettis.
