Gwent Uplands

Main Sighting: Fieldfare
Huge flocks of Fieldfare and redwing moving across the Tir Pentwys pantygasseg area as well as Brambling in small numbers with Chaffinch towards the Plasycoed....Also Punchbowl side of blorenge Fieldfare Redwing and mistle thrush Greenwoodpeckerr and a cheeky Merlin flying Pllel.to road probably hunting flocks

Main Sighting: Rock Thrush
Rock Thrush feeding in shade (reported "worm") and sunlit short grass (long beetle larvae). 8 Red Grouse,5 Grey Partridge, singing Robin and c10 flock of Mipits in glorious calm morning sunshine.

Folly Pontypool

Main Sighting: Hawfinch
7-9.10am. 38 Hawfinch in total!!!! Groups of 30;2;6 South,6 came back and landed in trees north of car park near pig farm and surrounding trees. Also 2 Crossbill,20+Lesser Redpoll a few Chaffinch and a late single late Swallow,all South.
