Quiet on the river but more activity in the boggy fields – 24 Snipe, 12 Teal, 4 Mandarin, 3 Goosander, 17 Mute Swan, 20 Mipits, numerous Skylarks, singing Chiffchaff.

Main sighting: Curlew

The curlews have returned in the fields behind the Carpenters Arms. The are about 6 as far as I can see.
I have been getting quite a number of siskins on the feeders for the last couple of weeks.
My Red KIte feeding is going well, normally 2 birds but can get 4 sometimes.

Fine winter plumaged Spotted Redshank keeping to grass/reeds at back from the Redshank hide. Drake Greater Scaup from the Snipe hide, Good numbers of Avocet, Wigeon, Black tailed Godwit, a few Ringed plovers and at least 10 Redwings
