Everyone might want to keep an eye to the skies over the next few days. Birdguides reported this morning it was seen flying north east over Wellington (just west of Taunton) yesterday afternoon, so it may be heading back this way.

Goldcliff Lagoons

Main Sighting: Disturbance on sea wall
Birders and walkers are reminded that walking along the sea wall behind the lagoons and third hide at Goldcliff causes disturbance. With young chicks hatching, this is a particularly sensitive time of year. Accessing the sea wall at the end of the path beside the field to view the mudflats is fine but please do not cross the stile.

Two male GS W/peckers coming to fat balls in the garden, one healthy but joined recently by a bird with pink rather than white plumage and a greasy ragged look, unhealthy looking - any ideas? Marsh Tits breeding locally and also coming to the feeders (confirmed 2 birds carrying food). And a garden rarity - female House Sparrow!
