12 Canada Geese on the lake this afternoon that's the most I've ever seen on there. Also Dipper, Grey Wagtail, Little Grebe, Coot, Moorhen and good numbers of Mallard.

Beacon Common

Main Sighting: Wheatear
First Wheatear of the year for me.Stonechat present in small numbers GSWoodpecker Raven Buzzard . Male Kestrel Chiffchaff and Female Sparrowhawk. Also glad to see 2 Roe Deer territories still occupied. Daily obsdervation site for me so il keep you posted.

Cefn Hengoed

Main Sighting: Ring ouzel
Working from home today rewarded me at 1545hrs with a 2nd ring ouzel . female or young male making its way through the foliage before moving on. Pale crescent visible and scaly look to the feathers.
