Great Osbaston/Brooksholm

Main Sighting: Merlin
1st yr male Merliin today for some time - first patch record! A spell as Jack Snipe also on patch on 3rd. Also today >250 Common Gull heading north in flocks and Canada Geese back in force, with at least five pairs (after none at start of month).

Goldcliff Lagoons

Main Sighting: Jack snipe
2 common snipe and 1 jack snipe (right corner from hide 1), 381 starlings in field, 32 redwings, 15 fieldfares, 2 buzzards (one almost white head),216 wigeon (335 more on mudflats/sea), 280 teal, 1 greenshank, 2 herons, 1 lt egret, 49 shoveler, 88 Canada geese, 11 redshanks, 43 curlew (94 on mudflats), pair gadwall, 10 turnstones (mudflats), 14 common gulls, 2 gt black-backed gulls, 71 lapwing, little grebe, 3 tufted ducks, dunlin, 1 black tailed godwit, skylark singing and peregrine hunting.
