Managed to get around a lot of areas today with my job .Merlin low in the mist Waunafon .Red Kite at the Coal slip below the British …3 red Grouse at Pantygasseg .24 Redpoll in the alders nr Blaenafon Iron Works 8little Egret amongst the 200gulls at Penperlleni flood meadows..Notably a male Petegrine on “The Tower ” in Cwmbran ..Everytime I park in Sainsburys car park I take a look as it has become a favoured wintering spot for random birds .

4-Stonechats,1f-Black Redstart together close to the sea wall hide.Also 3-Buzzards near to middle hide,all calling.They briefly landed in nearby trees before flying off.Two of them had a lot of white in their tails.I managed to get three photos,will send them to the recorder.10h302-12h15

42 species on my lockdown walk from home. Dipper on River Clydach on the edge of town near the top of the gorge. Male Goosander over our house is anew record for the garden list. Happy New Year.
