Male marsh harrier flying over seawall 1515 hrs then heading west hunting over wetlands for 15 mins being mobbed by raven, heading west, peregrine also flying from shore heading north inland, 2 cettis also calling, also pair of stonechats

Yesterday a female Brambling with Chaffinches. No sign of a Ring Ouzel reported nearby but plenty of Redwings and immigrant Blackbirds. Today, a pair of Stonechats

Main sighting: curlew sandpiper

Solitary curlew sand spotted from 1st platform, 2 chiffchaffs calling, green woodpecker & group of 24 redshank & @ 65 lapwing.
Very quiet on the foreshore with only 1 blk t. godwit and 5 oystercatchers

Main sighting: Aberrant Redwing

A very attractive aberrant Redwing appeared in a flock of c30 in the garden this morning. All the usually brown parts, including the breast markings, were honey-coloured, the primaries and tail were off-white, and the flanks red. Two Fieldfare also present.
