Main sighting: Hoopoe
Broadstreet Common road leading in from the NRW premises marked Pye Corner and down to the junction of Chapel Road, hoopoe perched on the wire close to the telegraph pole in a field about 60 yards up from property called Greenacres. Crest half erected, fawny colouring, black and white wing markings. By the time I managed to stop the car on the grass verge and exit it had gone, a lone mistle thrush was close by so suspecting this may have disturbed it? Could not relocate it after considerable scanning of ground, trees, outbuilding roofs etc. Daryl if description required please email me. This was approximately 1045am.
